Credentials

  • I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Marty for over 25 years. His creativity and collaborative approach are elite. He regularly took the lead on our largest and most complicated projects with incredible success. You won’t regret partnering with him for a successful outcome.

-Perry Poyner, Founding Co-Principle (retired), Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture.

  • Martin and I started working together in 1995, transforming a derelict historic building into a modern affordable housing community, with revitalized commercial space on the first floor and parking in the basement. This project, utilizing both historic and low-income housing tax credits was not an easy start to our relationship, but it went well and paved the way for many more projects over the last 30+ years.

-Todd Heistand (with wife Mary), Founders of the Woodbine Family Office, Parent Company of Nustyle Development and Construction.

  • Martin embodies generosity and a commitment to values. He embraces direct communication to keep discussions efficient and effective. His passion for empowering growth, both personal and community-focused, makes him an invaluable member of any initiative.

-Ross Adam Baker, Waukesha County, Wisconsin Information Technologist.

  • I have known Martin Kluck since 1989 when he was an intern with Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture. For over over 32 years we worked together on multiple historic renovation and adaptive reuse projects throughout Omaha and the surrounding areas. Martin embraced the unique challenges presented by historic structures and the constraints of historic preservation guidelines. I always appreciated his collaborative approach with his clients and our firm to produce the best projects possible given the existing constraints. He is a great listener and was aIways willing to consider the input of others while holding onto the best interests of our clients. In my 55 year career I have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of architects and I consider Martin to be amongst the best I have encountered. I can unequivocaIly recommend his service for any proiect . Please do not hesitate to contact me for further reference.

    Larry Lundquist, Co-Founder, Lund-Ross Constructors.

  • I will use the cliche Martin "is like family to me” because, well, he is. I can share my problems and my triumphs with him as he does likewise with me. I have walked 25 years of adult life with him as my friend.

-Mark McCain, United Airlines Des Moines, Iowa Station Manager (retired).

  • Martin is an exceptional architect with a rare blend of creativity, practicality, and interpersonal skills! His ability to balance great design with ease of construction, his focus on the owner's best interests, and his collaborative nature make him a valuable professional to work with. Martin is a joy to work with, and that is coming from a mechanical engineer.

-Chris Reed, Partner | Mechanical, Morrissey Engineering.

  • Martin is an enthusiastic devotee of all things design and architecture - and a keen explorer of roads less travelled.

    -Heidi Goebel, Architect.

  • Martin performed a critical function in both the design and construction sides of the projects we worked on together. For the last few years Martin has continued working on a multitude of projects for me, albeit at a much smaller scale, typically doing analysis and minimal drawings involved in feasibility studies. Whether he decides to remain focused on Architecture, or partner with a General Contractor or Developer, or some type of hybrid system - which is basically how we operated - he has a unique set of skills that always consider the long-term implications of decisions made during fast-track design/build projects .

-Todd Heistand (with wife Mary), Founders of the Woodbine Family Office, Parent Company of Nustyle Development and Construction.

  • From our days together in architecture school, it was clear that Martin’s creativity and collaborative spirit stood out. Over the years, those qualities, combined with his dedication and vision, have enabled him to flourish and make a lasting impact as an architect.

-Molly Block, Neon Sign Historian / Photographer.

  • Early in my career as a young architect, I had the privilege of working alongside Martin for approximately 15 years. During that time, Martin was an invaluable mentor: patient, thoughtful, and always willing to share his knowledge. He didn’t just provide answers; he helped me understand the reasoning behind them, which shaped the way I approach the profession today. I’m grateful for the guidance and support he offered during those formative years.

-Daniel P. Dolezal, Partner, Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture.

  • I have had the pleasure of working with Martin Kluck since the early 2010s. He is truly a collaborator in every sense of the word. He listens to his clients and makes sure the design team does everything possible to accommodate their requests. He’s very hands-on with project design, often suggesting possible alternatives to the structural design or detailing. While it can be challenging to have an architect so ingrained in the engineering design of a project, it’s not that way with Martin. He is extremely creative in finding solutions to problems within a project but never pushes beyond the limits of a design. I’ve loved working with an architect that is not only proficient in architectural design, but also genuinely treats his clients and consultants with respect.

-Kelly Clouse, Structural Engineer, Thompson, Dreessen & Dorner, Inc.

  • Starting a new project can be so overwhelming. Martin has a very unique approach. First and foremost, he listens and reflects back to you what the overall goals are. Then he calmly breaks it down into small simple manageable decisions. I have worked with him on many projects from large scale historical building renovations, to my own personal home and could not have been happier with the outcomes! Five stars!!

-Tammy Barrett, Former President of NuStyle Development.

  • I met Martin Kluck years ago as a manufacturer’s representative. Martin was always willing to learn new products and technology, plus offer suggestions on how to best sell the products I represented. I have always admired Martin’s dedication to providing the best for his customer. He truly wants to make his relationships with his customers last longer than a single project. Martin has exceptional work skills and ethics. Martin has inspired me to be better in selling whatever architectural product I represent.

Theresa Stevens, Account Manager, Midwest Floor Covering.

Core Values

STEWARDSHIP OVER SPECTACLE

We believe architecture is an act of care.

Every design choice honors what already exists—materials, history, community, and place. Reuse isn’t nostalgia; it’s responsibility.

HUMILITY AS PRACTICE

Ego-free architecture begins with listening.

We approach each project as a collaboration between builder, user, and building itself—where quiet intelligence outlasts loud design.

INTEGRITY THROUGH CRAFT

We pursue work that’s rigorous, honest, and human.

Every detail reflects intention and respect—for the craft, for the client, for the future we’re shaping together.

INFLUENCERS

Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply influenced by the perspectives of those in my circle. They have challenged me, and changed the way I see the world.
